Regional Training Squads
Regional training squads will be developed by Golf Manitoba. Once selected, Regional Coaches will identify athletes throughout the 2011 golf season. This identification will occur at Golf Manitoba events, various club junior tournaments and junior tours events. Regional training squads will consist of 8-12 players who will practice and train under the direction of the regional coaches in 2012. Provincial sport science seminars will also be offered to all regional training squads.
The Regional teams will be selected based on team qualifiers during the 2012 season.
Regional coaches will be selected in 2011. Training and development programs will be offered to all coaches. These Coaches will be responsible for conducting camps, practices and qualifiers in their region and must be able to attend the 2012 Manitoba Summer games
A minimum of two Level III Certified Rules Officials will be utilized at the Games from the existing pool of officials Golf Manitoba has developed for our provincial championships. A number of additional officials will be required for starting and scoring.
